Winter Workshops and Classes

Stained Glass - beginning to intermediate, four 2 hour sessions starting Tues. Jan. 17 from 6:30 to 8:30. Taught by Greta Hanesworth. Learn the "Tiffany Method" of stained glass construction, each student will make a panel about 9 x 11 inches with design and color of your choice. Cost of $80 and a supply fee of $20.

Watercolor - Old and new techniques using water media, taught by Lynda Rhodes. Two classes are being offered each comprised of four, three hour sessions . The Wed. class starts Feb. 15 and the Thurs. class begins Feb. 16 The class will run from 1:00 to 4:00pm. Cost is $100. Lynda also offer private lessons at $30 for 2 hrs. Glass Bead Making - Intro to Glass Bead Making: This class will cover the basic techniques of glass bead making. Students will learn how to use a flame-working torch and melt rods of glass to create and decorate glass beads. All materials are provided. Instructor is Bonnie Proudfoot. The cost is $80 plus a supply fee of $20. Date and times to be in early 2012. Sign up now and Bonnie will call interested students with the dates and times.

After School Art Class - Each Wed. for 4 sessions beginning in March from 4:30 to 6:00. For children ages 8 and up. Students will experience creating a variety of 2D and 3D projects while learning art concepts. Cost is $65 and all materials are provided. Financial aid is available for those that qualify. Book Making – High school through adult. Students will learn traditional book making techniques and create a very person book for journaling. A Sat. workshop in March from 10:00 to 3:00. Cost is $35 and all materials supplied. Instructor is Ginny Killian. Sign up now if interested and instructor will call when the date is set.

Multi-Media Abstract Painting - workshop beginning Fri. March 23 from 4 to 7 continuing on Sat. and Sunday 9 to 5. Participants in this workshop will experience three different approaches to the successful creation of non-representational works of art.  The goal of this weekend is to help participants find their creative voice and have a lot of fun.   They will also learn a bit about abstract composition and effective use of color. The fee is $90 plus a $15 materials fee and the instructor is Virinia Killian.

Drawing - Individualized instruction for all levels. Taught by George Longfellow. The class will be four, 2 hour sessions beginning dates and time will be set soon. Cost is $80 and instructor provides a materials list. Sign up today and George will call interested students with dates and time.
